join_us_photoThrough the Texas Master Naturalist volunteer program, you can help children and adults in your community learn about Texas’ natural resources, inspire them to a new appreciation of their environment, and ensure that others will be able to enjoy the natural Texas for years to come.

As a Texas Master Naturalist, you will be helping people appreciate their natural environment around their homes, while you enhance your own knowledge and skills. And, perhaps most satisfying of all, you will have a chance to build friendships and working relationships with others who share your love of the natural Texas.

Why don't you come meet us? Our chapter meetings are the first Thursday of even numbered months at the Wayne Johnson Community Center at Carbide Park starting at 6:30 and visitors are always welcome.

To become a Texas Master Naturalist, you must complete our training class, 40 hours of volunteer service and 8 hours of advanced training in 15 months. It sounds daunting, but we have a lot of fun. Check out our training class page for the class information and then glance at the Calendar to see some of the activities we do.
